I provide one to one lessons for the electric bass guitar, specializing in blues, gospel, americana, but can also cover a range of genres from pop, funk, rock, reggae and jazz.

I have been playing for over 20 years, initially teaching myself before having lessons with a professional bass player in Swansea and Cardiff.
​
I studied music technology at BTEC level, and quickly joined corporate and cover bands and have been playing up and down the UK and abroad ever since.

Commonly asked questions...
Q: Is bass easier than guitar?
A: No! It might be a little easier to start with, but it takes just as much (if not more) time and effort to develop your skills.

Q: What are your lessons like?
A: Taking place in my music room at my home in in Stroud, lessons will be individually catered to what you want to learn. It's no good learning jazz standards if you want to play in a punk band for example! I aim to keep you engaged and learn at your own pace.

Q: Do you teach children:
A: Due to the bass guitar being a larger instrument than regular guitar, I do not teach any children below the age of 10.

Q: Are lessons expensive?
A: I usually charge £30/hr for a lesson.

A: Yes, if you'd rather do that then of course that can be arranged.
